The Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at SMRMC is staffed by skilled professionals to meet your every need when you come to the hospital for ambulatory or same day surgery. The ASC is connected to SMRMC and the entrance is located at 215 Marion Avenue and occupies 11,539 Square feet on the Ground floor of the Medical Center.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center combines state-of-the-art technology with premium service, in an environment that is designed to focus on patient satisfaction. The average nurse on our staff has been with us for 10 years. Our customers come from throughout southwest Mississippi and southeast Louisiana. Many of our customers come from points farther away. As it is part of SMRMC, the ASC is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center is comprised of a total of five operating rooms; three standard operating rooms, a room each dedicated to Cystoscopy and Sterotactic Breast Biopsy; nine pre-operative and secondary recovery beds and four post anesthesia recovery bays.
