At Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, we've taken another major step in strengthening the depth of our specialty capabilities through the establishment of the new SMRMC Digestive Disease Center.

As the name suggests, this specialty care unit is dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of virtually any disorder related to the entire gastrointestinal tract.

The Center specifically addresses illnesses and disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine, as well as the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. This new facility includes a swallowing disorder clinic with speech therapists, a nutrition service team with registered dietitians, gastrointestinal modalities and Ph studies, along with advanced endoscope procedures including the liver, bile duct systems, and pancreas (pancreatic biliary endoscope).
